That’s all from the OTIC for 2009

Two events over (Dunedin and Wellington) and we are wrapped up for 2009.  Thanks to all the schools and teams who took part.  We’ve had a great time and hope you all have as well.

Of course it would not have been possible without our sponsors.  A big THANK YOU to you all for the prizes and financial support for this event:

University of Otago School of Business Department of Information Science GNI Project

Microsoft

IBM Student IT

Finally, thank you to the staff from the Information Science department at Otago who made these events happen in 2009.

Thank you all, and we hope to see you in Dunedin and some of your schoolmates and the 2010 events.

Regards,

Melanie

Wow!

There is only one word to sum up today and that is AMAZING.  We have been presented with a series of amazing presentations by the students here today.  The judges have deliberated and after careful consideration have come to a decision.

The winners are:

  • Twitter - Quick Silver Warriors, Heretaunga College
  • SunSPOTs - Naenae 2, Naenae College
  • MUVEs - Komputer Kooks, Wellington East Girls’ College

A big thanks to all the students who came today, to our judges and the staff that made the day possible.

Be sure to check back here next week once we get the blog updated with the final pictures and notes from the day. Right now we’re out of here for a (well deserved?) weekend holiday in Wellington :-)
